Still Here, Still Becoming

It has been such a long time since I've written on here and of course, so much has happened.

Almost a year ago now (November 2025) I decided to try a different form of therapy: psychedelic therapy. And let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I have begun to open my heart even more to my healing journey and grief.

Let me chat a little more about that. One of the things that I learned was that there is no "getting over" grief. There is no end-state. I realized that I needed to walk beside my grief, hold its hand, and learn how to live with it. And it has been such a relief to look at it that way.

I've said this many times, but everyone's grieving journey is very different. It's a personal experience and no one can tell you how to grieve. This past year has been about what that looks like for me. I've had a break-up, moved cities, started other projects, and even found a new love. A love I never thought possible since my late wife. A love that one only dreams about and someone that sees my grief and is willing to hold my hand through it all. It's genuinely the most beautiful feeling.

Now, there's still a lot that has happened over this last year, too much to really put in one blog. But let me tell you, I'm in the best place I've ever been on a personal level. I've done more self-love, self-care, and boundary setting for myself than I ever have. And I absolutely love the person that I'm becoming. There is still healing to do of course and there is always interpersonal work to be done, but I'm so incredibly confident with where my journey is headed and I can't wait to continue to share that with you all.

One of the things I will be sharing more about are my psychedelic journeys, but I'll get to those at a later time. For now, I just want to say, I'm sorry I disappeared for a little bit, but I'm back. And I'm so looking forward to connecting again. Sharing. And always moving forward.

You are loved. You are enough. And please always reach out for help if you need it.

And please help support my shop. Check it out HERE.

With love,

Alicia
